Fishing Trips
Trip Details: (2 angler max per boat/guide)
At Trout Country Outfitters, we provide a seamless, all-inclusive fishing experience. On the day of your trip, your guide will either pick you up from your lodging or meet you at a convenient location before transporting you to the river.
Our full-day float trips include:
-A hearty lunch and non-alcoholic drinks (water, Coke, Diet Coke)
-Top-quality fishing gear—rods, reels, flies, and tackle
- No hidden fees—use of our equipment is included
Please note: A Montana fishing license is required and must be purchased separately. While we cannot supply alcoholic beverages, you’re welcome to bring your own.
Let us handle the details so you can focus on the fishing!
Rates:
$700 full day float
$500 half day float

Gear:
You are welcome to bring as much or as little gear as you’d like. All you really need is a hat, sunglasses, and a Montana fishing license—we’ll take care of the rest.
Sunglasses are especially important for protecting your eyes from stray hooks on windy days. Most of our fishing is done from the boat, so waders aren’t necessary unless you prefer to wade fish.
If you’d like to use your own gear, we recommend a 5- to 7-weight rod with a floating line. A 5-weight is great for dry flies, but on windy days, a 6- or 7-weight can make casting easier.
Other items you may want to bring:
-Camera
- Sunscreen
- Warm jacket
- Rain jacket
- Hat
- Sunglasses
Let us know if you have any special requests—we’re happy to accommodate!

Montana Fishing Licenses:
A valid Montana fishing license is required to fish in the state. You can purchase one in advance online at https://ols.fwp.mt.gov/ Be sure to select the correct dates for your trip and either print a copy or save it on your phone in case you need to present it while on the water.
Licenses are also available at local fly shops, and if you don’t have time to get one beforehand, we can stop at a shop on the way to the river.
If you're fishing in Yellowstone National Park, a Montana fishing license is not required. Instead, you’ll need a YNP fishing permit, which can be purchased at fly shops near the park entrance.
Let us know if you have any questions—we’re happy to help!
Deposit, Refund, and Cancelation Policy:
A $350 deposit is due upon booking for both half and full day trips.
Trips with a received deposit may be canceled no less than 30 days in advance to receive a full refund.
